Posted by Mont Rothstein on 03 January 2008 05:50 PM

This article describes how to move a local repository to a new workstation.

  1. Backup the repository to tape
  2. Take ownership of the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Foray Technologies directory and everything underneath it.
  3. Give the account you are using Full Control over the Foray Technologies directory
  4. Copy the Foray Technologies directory to the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ directory on the new workstation
  5. Delete Foray Technologies\ForayAdams.db on the new workstation
  6. Run C:\Program Files\Foray\Digital Workplace\Rebuild ADAMS Database.exe on the new workstation (v. 2.0.16.0 or later)
  7. Connect to the Local database
  8. Set other configuration options as needed (Controlling Agency, Directory Server, etc.)
  9. Save and Restart
  10. Rebuild the database

This process will create the local db, Adams Admin account, Adams groups, and set the permissions on the repository.
