Image Watermarks

Starting with version 5.2, Adams Web supports optionally including watermarks when viewing an image, exporting an image and including an image on a report.

The watermark is a word or phrase repeated multiple times in a diagonal pattern.   The word or phrase used can be configured in Digital Workplace. See Digital Workplace > Options > Asset > General page.

There are three privileges that control image watermark functionality. These privileges are unsecured by default and are explained below.

View Images without Watermark Privilege

When this privilege is secured and a user does not have the privilege, the watermark will appear on the full screen version of the images in Adams Web.

If no word or phrase was setup in Digital Workplace, then the phrase "DO NOT DISTRIBUTE", localized, is shown.

Export Images without Watermark Privilege

This privilege affects the Adams Web Assets Export Lightbox Options.

If the privilege is not secured or the user has the privilege, then options are added to the Assets Export Lightbox to allow the user to export the image with or without a watermark and to specify the text of the watermark.  Note, image conversion is required to include a watermark on the image.

If the privilege is secured and the user does not have the privilege, then the user does not have the option to export unconverted images and all exported images include the watermark.  If no word or phrase was setup in Digital Workplace, then the phrase "DO NOT DISTRIBUTE", localized, is used.

Show Images on Report without Watermark Privilege

This privilege affects images included on reports.  It only applies when the report template did not include a watermark for the image.

If the privilege is secured and the user does not have the privilege, then the watermark will be included on the images in the report for which the report template did not specify a watermark.   If no word or phrase was setup in Digital Workplace, then the phrase "DO NOT DISTRIBUTE", localized, is shown.
